Meet Kathleen Burton, CEO Perth City Farm, who will be speaking in our Financial Security and Abundance Session

Kathleen is passionate about enabling people to live considered, meaningful lives, feeling that they belong and are valued in their community, and are connected to the natural world which they respect and protect. She’s used her degree in Accounting and Entrepreneurship as a base to work with various non-profit organisations, helping them create programs that bring in new types of revenue, whilst also creating change. Kathleen first fell in love with Perth City Farm in 2010 when she took over the very important volunteer role of Barista for the Saturday Farmer’s Market, before there was a café on site. After some overseas experience Kathleen came back to City Farm in 2014 as a member of the Management Committee, and stepped into the role of CEO in July 2017.

ABOUT US
The WA Community Garden Network (WACGN) is an informal network of WA community gardens and their supporters. Established in 2004, the network has played a significant role in bringing together people involved in community gardens to share ideas and skills, work collaboratively and provide a voice for the community garden sector in WA.

The WA Community Garden Gathering 2018 Committee first met in May 2017 in North Perth. The Committee meets regularly (every 2 weeks) with three working groups; Planning, Engagement and Strategic Direction, busily working to bring to fruition an event with a difference. Our meetings often run late into the night as we discuss, debate and imagine this event together. We are excited and hope you will be too!
