Meet Peg Davies who will be speaking in the waste management session and financial security & abundance.

Peg has been involved in community gardens for over 20 years. She was part of the setting up of Earthwise and West Leederville gardens and is currently on the Board at City Farm in Perth. She works as a waste educator so gives a strong emphasis to using otherwise wasted resources in gardens, and is extremely reluctant to buy stuff. Peg see the ‘glue’ (connectors) people in gardens as the critical players- and they may not even be gardeners!

ABOUT US
The WA Community Garden Network (WACGN) is an informal network of WA community gardens and their supporters. Established in 2004, the network has played a significant role in bringing together people involved in community gardens to share ideas and skills, work collaboratively and provide a voice for the community garden sector in WA.

The WA Community Garden Gathering 2018 Committee first met in May 2017 in North Perth. The Committee meets regularly (every 2 weeks) with three working groups; Planning, Engagement and Strategic Direction, busily working to bring to fruition an event with a difference. Our meetings often run late into the night as we discuss, debate and imagine this event together. We are excited and hope you will be too!
