That's what we think - prove us wrong and come and have some selfies with us at the event.

You will be amazed at the choices you have to participate in this event that is already like no other.

Our fantastic program is an exciting blend of plenaries, open space type circles, practical workshops and entertainment.

Our organising committee has listened to our most important people - the many members of WA Community Gardens.

However, we have also engaged with leading academics, Permaculturalists, Departmental heads, politicians, First Nations’ leaders and innovators, media personalities, consultants and the Australian City Farms and Community Gardens Network.

Our underlying theme is best expressed by a delightful Noongar phrase : Wanju Wanju, or welcome together.

From the moment you walk in the front gate of Perth City Farm on 19th and 20th of May you will feel welcome.

Most importantly you will know your voice is valued and will be heard.

Check out our poster as it sums up the event : "Harvesting Knowledge, Feeding the Roots”.

Every person will be harvesting knowledge from the incredible range of people present …

… and everyone will be helping the WA Community Garden movement flourish.

ACFCGN Ambassador Costa Georgiadis is coming …

… follow him around and see how many people he listens to, smiles with and has selfies with.

Harvesting Knowledge, Feeding the Roots!

ABOUT US
The WA Community Garden Network (WACGN) is an informal network of WA community gardens and their supporters. Established in 2004, the network has played a significant role in bringing together people involved in community gardens to share ideas and skills, work collaboratively and provide a voice for the community garden sector in WA.

The WA Community Garden Gathering 2018 Committee first met in May 2017 in North Perth. The Committee meets regularly (every 2 weeks) with three working groups; Planning, Engagement and Strategic Direction, busily working to bring to fruition an event with a difference. Our meetings often run late into the night as we discuss, debate and imagine this event together. We are excited and hope you will be too!
