3.00 - 4.30pm A Call to Sow* with Costa

including afternoon tea

In this celebration, you'll have the opportunity to decide what seeds you want the network to sow. There will be laughs galore, music, prizes and maybe even some dancing.

(*not a call to arm)

Here are some comments from Costa the great. Our hearts are full of thanks to Costa for making the trip over from Sydney to share the gathering with us:

- Don't seek perfection

-Getting the major to join us on a Sunday was a huge achievement.

-Don't underestimate what your work, in your part of the word is doing for the national network, WA is leading it.

- Your work enthuses others.

-Let people you know, know about our social network and start connecting on this: https://www.facebook.com/groups/wacgn/\

-Support each other through our gaps that we have within the community gardens.

-"Be disturbing in what you do, pick the gaps of disturbance and fertilise them".

-Share with each other online and continue to disturb the status quo- the more the undergrowth will thrive.

-Costa mentioned that he loved that we didn't have marquees or fences, it was familiar and easy to navigate around and that there was no disappointments from the gathering only successes.

ABOUT US
The WA Community Garden Network (WACGN) is an informal network of WA community gardens and their supporters. Established in 2004, the network has played a significant role in bringing together people involved in community gardens to share ideas and skills, work collaboratively and provide a voice for the community garden sector in WA.

The WA Community Garden Gathering 2018 Committee first met in May 2017 in North Perth. The Committee meets regularly (every 2 weeks) with three working groups; Planning, Engagement and Strategic Direction, busily working to bring to fruition an event with a difference. Our meetings often run late into the night as we discuss, debate and imagine this event together. We are excited and hope you will be too!
