What's one thing that challenged your thinking?
Claudia mentioned she feels this debate can be slippery and there needs to be a way to tackle the problem where everyone feels validated.
Some people can be highly risk adverse which makes ethics in the garden a difficult topic to reach a consensus on.
What's one thing you would like to know more about?
The importance of working hard to find a solution that still has an ethical base.
The pesticides debate needs to have cultural consideration, as various cultures have different ways of doing things.
Janelle mentioned cooch grass and how every they didn't use chemicals so every busy bee they would have to pull it out manually, which meant the numbers started dwindling and people would come and want to do anything else.
What interesting fact stood out for you?
Janelle talked about working together in the committee to find solutions. If someone mentioned they don't like a certain chemical being used for example they have to come up with an alternative.
It's easier when there is a shared vision, a consensus can be easier to come, even though people might not agree on everything.
